N C C (National Cadet Corps)
The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a youth development movement in India. It is a tri-services organization comprising the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings, which aims to develop discipline, leadership, and patriotism among young citizens.
The NCC was formed in 1948, soon after India’s independence.
It evolved from the University Corps (set up in 1917) and later the University Training Corps (UTC).
The NCC Act was enacted in 1948, formally establishing the organization.
Open to school and college students.
There are two main divisions:
Junior Division (JD) / Junior Wing (JW) – For school students (Classes 8–10).
Senior Division (SD) / Senior Wing (SW) – For college/university students.

Adventure Camps (trekking, rock climbing, parasailing)
Social Service (blood donation, disaster relief, tree planting)
Republic Day Camp (RDC) & Thal Sainik Camp (TSC)
Youth Exchange Programs (YEP) with other countries.

🪖 NCC Certificates
Certificate A – For Junior Division/Wing cadets.
Certificate B – For Senior Division/Wing (after one year of training).
Certificate C – Highest level, awarded after two years of training in Senior Division/Wing.
